I started doing digital illustration about 11 years ago. My introduction to it started out at my day job as a means of whipping up work much faster, usually doing pencil drawings and then inking and coloring them in Photoshop. It was so much fun that I expanded the technique for my childrens' book work shown here. Very detailed pencil drawings, colorized in Photoshop.

My first love has always been painting in oil. My career went in a direction away from painting, but lately I've been trying to paint in my "free" time when I get the chance. There's nothing quite like the smell of paint and the mess it creates. I love it.
